Peak Season

Spring is here and as the weather warms up, the days become longer, it is a sign that the silly season is upon us in the freight industry.

Peak season 2020 is going to look substantially different to previous years, airfreight capacity has shrunk greatly and seafreight space has decreased due to reduced sailings into Australia.

Planning is the key, therefore as you forecast and plan your shipments prior to Christmas, ensure that you share this information with our team so that we can secure space and rates required to avoid any delays once freight is available.

Stevedore Disruption

The Maritime Union is again conducting protected industrial action around the country in relation to negotiations on the latest Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.

Currently there has been very little full day stoppages but there have been numerous work bans put in place and hour-long stoppages in shifts. This is causing some issues with timeslots and we are working with our transport partners to avoid any delays with deliveries of your freight.

BMSB Season is HERE!

BMSB season is now upon us and if you have any goods coming from North America, Europe, and some Asian countries, they need to be treated prior to release by the department. Per previous years any open top containers, flat racks or non-solid containers MUST be treated overseas. These types of movements cannot be treated in Australia, if they do arrive and are not treated they will not be discharged.

Speak to us before arranging shipments and we will assist with the planning and treating of your goods.

Stay safe and should you have any queries please contact us directly.
